* Until 1030 PM EST Saturday.
* At 133 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated around 1 to 2 inches of
rain has fallen across the area. More rain is expected through
tonight with additional rainfall amounts around 1 to 2 inches.
Creeks and streams are rising, and the Fairfax County 911 Center
has reported high water on some roadways. Additional rainfall will
cause creeks and streams to continue to rise out of their banks
through this evening.
* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Centreville, Dale City, Reston, Leesburg, Annandale, Springfield,
South Riding, Herndon, Fairfax, Fort Hunt, Vienna, Groveton,
Broadlands, Brambleton, Warrenton, Mantua, Fort Belvoir,
Woodbridge, Dulles International Airport and Ashburn.

Information:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of Maryland, The District of Columbia, Virginia, and
West Virginia, including the following areas, in Maryland,
Anne Arundel, Calvert, Carroll, Central and Eastern Allegany,
Central and Southeast Howard, Central and Southeast
Montgomery, Extreme Western Allegany, Frederick MD, Northern
Baltimore, Northwest Harford, Northwest Howard, Northwest
Montgomery, Prince Georges, Southeast Harford, Southern
Baltimore, and Washington. The District of Columbia. In
Virginia, Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria, Clarke, Culpeper,
Eastern Loudoun, Fairfax, Frederick VA, Madison, Northern
Fauquier, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge, Page, Prince
William/Manassas/Manassas Park, Rappahannock, Rockingham,
Shenandoah, Southern Fauquier, Warren, and Western Loudoun. In
West Virginia, Berkeley, Eastern Grant, Eastern Mineral,
Eastern Pendleton, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Morgan,
Western Grant, Western Mineral, and Western Pendleton.

* Moderate rainfall is expected with locally heavy rain possible.
Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected through
tonight, with storm total rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches
expected. Isolated higher storm total rainfall amounts of 3 to
4 inches are possible. Runoff from the rainfall may cause
creeks and streams to rise out of their banks as well as the
potential for flooding in urban areas.

Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

* At 08AM Saturday the stage was 6.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Flood stage may be reached by Monday morning. Preparations for
flooding should be taken by this time.
